"New-music luminary" -Steve Smith, The New York Times

One System – my shiny, silver clad performance collective with Juraj Kojs and Alex Lough — is thrilled to make their NYC debut on the Interpretations Series at Roulette on Thursday, October 23, 2025, 8 PM.
Don’t miss it — you are part of the System!!!
Either/Or is presenting a series of shows at MoMA this fall as part of the Stephen Prina: A Lick and a Promise exhibition. Artist, musician, composer (and a real sweetie) Stephen Prina has developed a singular and irreverent approach to installations, films, and musical performances. We are having a greatr time working with him. I’ll be in the following shows..….

a multimedia work by Joseph Di Ponio, Catherine Katsafouros and Margaret Lancaster
Saturday, June 7 & Sunday, June 8, 2025
Installation: 11 am – 4 pm
Live Performance: 4-5 pm
Gallery MC 549 W. 52nd Street, Ground Floor Gallery (between 10th & 11th avenues)
Ensemble Ipse will present The Ways In Which, a collaborative installation project exploring divergent themes of isolation. Created by composer Joseph Di Ponio, visual artist Catherine Katsafouros and performer Margaret Lancaster, this work is part of Ensemble Ipse’s innovative SiteWorks series.
The Ways In Which unfolds in a landscape where movement, sound, image, and presence continually shift in response to space and time. The multi-media installation will run uninterrupted from 11 am – 4 pm. At 4 pm, Lancaster will navigate the installation in a live one-hour performative exploration of 5 disparate modalities of isolation (social isolation, shelter, political isolation, confinement, sanctuary).
This is not a concert. It is a porous encounter.
Free and open to the public. Reception to follow each performance.

Performance Art Troupe? Sound Art? Shiny Silver Costumes? Yes, Yes, Yes, and so many more Yeses! I have joined forces with my dear collaborators Juraj Kojs and Alex Lough…….We are ONE SYSTEM
ONE SYSTEM is taking their shininess to Wesleyan’s Ring Hall (Middletown, CT), Thursday, March 27th, 7 PM.
In May, the world lost the equally brilliant and dear Larry Polansky. I am still shocked and heartbroken, but honored to be a part of a concert honoring him on what would have been his 70th birthday, October 16, 2024. It will be an amazing cross section of his work. Near the bay area? Please drop by The Lab.
December 8 – 8 pm at University Settlement, Either/Or presents Time/Again…….featuring a gorgeous premiere by Victoria Cheah and an incredible realization of Henning Christensen’s Requiem of Art (NYC) (fluxorum organum II) (1970/2014). Anthony Coleman is joining us, Alex Lough is working his technical magic and my axe for the show is a megaphone ……….it’s going to be EPIC!!!
